The FIFA World Cup is going on. Who wants to spend time, cooking especially when your two favorite teams are playing: Germany and Portugal! I did not want to miss any moment of the game. But at the same time I have to cook lunch too. My super fast veggie recipe as follows-
1 cup green beans
1/2 cup baby carrots cut in halves lengthwise
1/2 tsp sesame seeds
1 Tblsp crushed garlic
1/2 Tblsp crushed ginger
1 tsp crushed dry red chili
1/2 tsp crushed coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp clove powder
1/2- 1 Tblsp Balsamic vinegar
1 Tblsp sesame oil
Heat the oil in a sauté pan. When the oil gets hot, add ginger, garlic, and crushed chili and sauté for few seconds. Add vegetables and sauté. Cover it with a lid for 2- 3 mins, then remove the lid. Add all the spices except balsamic vinegar and mix well. Cook for another 2 mins. Add balsamic vinegar to the vegetables and mix well. Turn off the gas.
Serve with rice or tortilla or noodles or anyway you like it.
I rolled it up in a tortilla and ate with sriracha.
BTW, Portugal lost to Germany by four goals. Poor Ronaldo, but Mueller got a hat trick. An easy match for Germany.
